During this 2-day production, which was Progressive’s second photo shoot, we shot at Budapest’s most emblematic spots for the Polish clothing brand Mohito.
During pre-production we learned how to visualize locations as fashion photo shoot locations, which requires a completely different approach
To find the perfect locations, we looked through our extensive location database, and suggested the ones that ended up being chosen for the shoot. These shooting locations, for instance Heroes’ Square, the iconic 120-year-old underground of Budapest (the first in Europe), and the underground’s historical stairway, can easily be described as gems of the capital.
The ornate stairways and stations of the old Budapest Underground are a unique feature of the city
These sights represent the city perfectly, as they depict Budapest’s unique atmosphere with its amazing colours, moods, and locations.
During pre-production, we learned how to visualize locations as photo shoot locations because scouting for film and photo shoots require completely different approaches. As the location is a blurry background, an impression, on fashion photos, you have to get a feeling during scouting how it would appear on the picture with the models in the foreground. Progressive Productions has worked on several photo shoots since then, and we’re continuously building on this very useful knowledge more and more.
