George

Autumn/Winter Campaign

TEAM

We had already worked with Production Factory before, so when they approached us again in 2024 with a new project, we were excited to jump into planning. This time, we collaborated on the photo and video production of the 2024 autumn-winter campaign for George, one of the UK’s largest clothing retailers, shot on location in Budapest.

The project covered the full range of the AW collection, so in addition to adult models, we also worked with children — and even babies — during the shoot. Since all talents were flown in from London, creating a comfortable and secure environment was a top priority to ensure that even the youngest models could feel at ease and move freely despite being in an unfamiliar setting.

One of Budapest’s greatest strengths is the exceptional diversity of street backdrops it offers — something that played a key role in this shoot as well. Our in-house location department and ever-expanding internal database don’t just help us identify suitable spots for shoots — there’s much more to it than that. Every area we propose has been thoroughly scouted, documented, and strategically planned from both a production and logistical perspective to ensure that each base offers the widest possible range of locations, while aligning perfectly with the creative concept.

One such area in this project was centered around Budapest’s most iconic avenue, Andrássy Boulevard. This grand, 19th-century avenue is lined with neo-Renaissance buildings, and beneath it runs the second-oldest metro line in Europe — with its ornate entrances fitting seamlessly into the campaign’s visual identity. The core concept was an elegant, neutral-toned urban setting, occasionally broken by bold pops of color matching the autumn collection — such as the metro entrances’ decorative, yellow-painted railings.

Since its opening in 1896, this metro line has retained much of its original character, with the entrances preserved in their authentic forms

The photos and videos were primarily featured in George’s retail stores and on the brand’s webshop, and remained in use throughout the autumn-winter season. The campaign also appeared across George’s social media channels — with those materials produced during the shoot as well, as is now standard practice in nearly every production.

Working with new clients or exploring new types of projects is always exciting — but long-term collaboration with returning partners is just as important to us. Alongside Production Factory, a great example of this is the American show The Bachelor, where Warner Brothers chose Progressive as their production partner for two episodes — first in Austria, then the following year in Hungary.
