Even though Vienna lives as a traditional and historical city in many people’s mind, the Austrian capital also features stunning, state of the art contemporary architecture. During the last 20 years, many brave building endeavors have come to life characterised by hi-tech interiors, sharp edges, glass and concrete textures making them ideal settings for film and photo shoots. Besides contemporary fragments inserted into the texture of the old town in a refined way, one can also find entire modern districts in Vienna, such as the so called Danube City. The constantly growing skyline of this new urban center is characterised by such skyscrapers as the DC tower reaching 220 m in height designed by French star architect, Dominique Perrault. Vienna also features buildings of such renowned architects as Jean Nouvel or the Pritzker Prize winner Zaha Hadid, who designed the library of the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
